Web Technology Detector

Analyse the publicly exposed signals of a page to identify its CMS, frameworks, libraries, analytics tools, third-party services, web server, or CDN. Each detection includes a confidence level and the evidence behind it.

URL analysis

What is this website built with?

The detector examines the initial HTML, script and stylesheet URLs, selected cookies, and HTTP headers. It does not execute the remote page’s JavaScript.

HTTP/HTTPS only. Local hosts, private networks, and non-standard ports are blocked.

Method

How does detection work?

1 · Headers

Server and infrastructure

Headers can reveal a web server, CDN, hosting platform, or backend when the website deliberately exposes those signals.

2 · HTML

CMS and frameworks

The engine looks for signatures such as meta generators, attributes, asset paths, and technology-specific markers.

3 · Resources

Scripts and styles

File URLs can reveal libraries, CSS frameworks, analytics tools, and external services.

4 · Confidence

Cross-check evidence

Multiple matching signals increase confidence. The tool avoids inferring a version unless it is explicitly visible.

Important limitation

Unlike a browser extension, this tool does not execute the page’s JavaScript or inspect the DOM after rendering. Technologies loaded dynamically may therefore remain undetected.
